what do I say to all the unconfirmed dreams

the waves of serendipity that never came

the distance between crimes non-existent

expelled and un-amendable

a year of no memory

pain is in the clear

a shining emery

a psychic space

a psychic pain

madness screams out an unknown name

Now that I’m old
I require water
the lights off
life to let go
leave me alone
all love known
decapitated
I listen at the door
I accept
there is no company
no hello
no how are you
it’s been so long
can’t wait to see you
I’ve missed you
I've dreamed you
all these years waiting to once again find you
I listen and wonder
is it my executioner?
please tell them to come in
are you living well?
I’m crawling through the machine
hands and feet
with some lovely days in-between

I lost all my friends because my corpse was too heavy
it's broader than the galaxy
it is a gateway to unthinkable tragedy
that wasn't on purpose by me
but it was destiny
amidst all the terror I am a holy being
this is my favorite thing

we met
we loved
the devastation complete
time has transformed us
informing us
of incredible defeat

summer is warm and sad
and it fatigues the scales of my skin
remember now how young we are
and how we will never be this young again
